Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialized field of dentistry which comprises of the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of oral diseases, simple and complicated tooth/teeth extraction, treatment of ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERIES and defects involving both the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions.

TMJ surgeries are done in both children and adults. It is a surgical procedure performed in case of limited mouth opening where the temporomandibular joint which is responsible for mouth opening and closing is fused. Patients are then advised jaw exercises which enhances their mouth opening.
