Islamic International Dental Hospital has taken a major step towards the incorporation of advanced technological equipment in the Dental health field through the launch of “Cone Beam Computed Tomography, CBCT” in December 2021. This new advancement in the Dental Radiology department of IIDH, Islamabad helped the hospital to secure an apparent position among the other private hospitals of the city. The IIDH has successfully installed CBCT Scan and three in one solution, OPG, Ceph, and CBCT X-ray machine with upgraded operations. It is a huge initiative for BDS students and Dentists as they are now availing the opportunity to use cutting edge technology to facilitate their patients on every level. Now, the dentists and final year students can use the CBCT systems to capture patient’s data using a cone shaped X-ray beam and get 3D images of different regions of a patient’s anatomy. CBCT technology is used for various clinical applications including dental implant planning, visualization of abnormal teeth, evaluation of the jaws and face, cleft palate assessment, endodontic (root canal) diagnosis, and diagnosis of dental trauma. This is a huge success for Riphah Group and Islamic International Dental Hospital as they are going extra mile to enhance the healthcare facilities in Pakistan.
